About The Position

Security Dispatchers at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel help maintain a safe and secure environment for patrons and employees across three shifts. The role supports security operations in the gaming environment, manages communications and access processes, documents activity, and coordinates security officer assignments. Dispatchers may also perform mobile vehicle patrols and carry out Security Officer duties when not assigned to dispatch.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with personnel at all levels, guests, and vendors.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Adaptability and ability to learn new technologies, systems, and software applications quickly.
• Thorough knowledge of the Emergency Disaster Plan Manual and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
• At least two years of experience working with computer systems, data entry, and multiple software applications.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in security dispatching, emergency dispatch, or a similar high-volume operational role.
• Experience in a customer service, security, or gaming environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the safety and security of guests, employees, and company assets within the gaming environment.
• Keep the dispatch office clean, organized, and professional.
• Manage visitor and vendor registration, check-in, and access control processes.
• Receive, screen, and professionally direct incoming internal and external telephone communications.
• Accurately document incidents, escorts, service requests, and relevant activities in the iTrak reporting system.
• Continuously monitor and respond to security radio traffic.
• Coordinate and accurately record security officer dispatches, assignments, breaks, and meal periods.
• Perform mobile vehicle patrol duties as needed.
• Perform Security Officer duties when not assigned to the dispatch function.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
