About The Position

The Security Associate helps create a safe and comfortable environment for guests and associates by protecting people, property, and assets; identifying suspicious behavior; preventing unlawful activity; and deescalating conflict. The role is part-time and hourly at the Hilton Milwaukee, with morning-shift availability that includes weekends and holidays. The stated pay estimate is $18.50 per hour.

The associate patrols the premises, operates dispatch and monitoring functions, responds to calls for service, investigates situations, documents findings, assists guests and associates, witnesses cash drops, handles lost and found, and transports guests in company vehicles. The role may also assist in other areas as needed.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with department management, staff, personnel, and the general public.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, with others as a team player, and under pressure.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of security and law enforcement practices.
• Prior hospitality, guest service, and/or security experience.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises on foot and maintain safety for guests and associates while protecting property and assets.
• Operate the dispatch center, including key control, fire alarm monitoring, and closed-circuit television monitoring; answer routine and emergency calls for service and dispatch assistance.
• Perform proactive and professional security, safety, and loss-prevention practices.
• Investigate situations and conditions and write reports as necessary.
• Meet, greet, and assist guests and associates in a professional and calm manner.
• Witness cash drops, monitor cameras, and perform lost-and-found functions.
• Transport guests in company vehicles to and from locations such as airports, local offices, and entertainment venues.
• Assist in other areas as needed.
