About The Position

Salt & Straw is hiring Seasonal Scoopers to create memorable guest experiences and help the shop run smoothly. Scoopers serve ice cream while guiding guests through flavors, sharing ingredient stories, offering samples, and building meaningful connections. The position involves customer service, preparing and serving products, processing transactions, assisting with online and delivery orders, and maintaining the shop’s cleanliness, food safety, and organization. Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Can work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Can work at least three shifts per week, including two closing shifts.
• Enjoys working with people and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Has strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys staying busy.
• Works well as part of a team and supports coworkers.
• Is curious, dependable, and eager to learn.
• Is comfortable discussing flavors, offering samples, and engaging with guests.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and create welcoming experiences for guests.
• Share flavor stories, offer samples, and help guests discover flavors.
• Scoop ice cream, make waffle cones, operate the register, and support daily shop operations.
• Greet guests, answer questions, and help guide the flow of the shop.
• Accurately process transactions and assist with online and delivery orders.
• Prepare products according to recipes and quality standards.
• Restock ice cream, supplies, and retail products throughout the shift.
• Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and organization standards across the shop.
• Support dishwashing, cleaning, and other operational tasks.
• Work collaboratively with teammates to create a positive and supportive environment.
