About The Position
Salt & Straw is hiring part-time Scoopers to create memorable guest experiences and help the shop run smoothly. Scoopers welcome guests, share flavor and ingredient stories, offer samples, and help customers discover products. The role also includes scooping ice cream, making waffle cones, operating the register, processing transactions, assisting with online and delivery orders, preparing products to recipes and quality standards, restocking, and maintaining food safety and cleanliness. The position is based in Redmond, Washington. Team members must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and work at least three shifts per week, including two closing shifts. The work involves common food allergens, including peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, eggs, soy, wheat, and seafood.

Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create welcoming experiences for guests.
- Share flavor stories, offer samples, and help guests discover products.
- Scoop ice cream, make waffle cones, operate the register, and support daily shop operations.
- Greet guests, answer questions, and help guide the flow of the shop.
- Accurately process transactions and assist with online and delivery orders.
- Prepare products according to recipes and quality standards.
- Restock ice cream, supplies, and retail products throughout the shift.
- Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and organization standards.
- Support dishwashing, cleaning, and other operational tasks.
- Work collaboratively with teammates to create a positive and supportive environment.
