About The Position
Salt & Straw is hiring Scoopers to create memorable guest experiences and help daily shop operations run smoothly. Scoopers welcome guests, guide them through flavors, share ingredient stories, offer samples, and build connections through attentive hospitality. The role includes scooping ice cream, making waffle cones, operating the register, processing transactions, and helping with online and delivery orders. Team members also prepare products to recipes and quality standards, restock products and supplies, maintain food safety and cleanliness, wash dishes, and collaborate with teammates. The position requires working at least three shifts per week, including two closing shifts, and availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays. The shop environment includes common food allergens such as peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, eggs, soy, wheat, and seafood.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to work at least three shifts per week, including two closing shifts.
- Enjoy working with people and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and stay busy.
- Able to work well as part of a team and support others.
- Curious, dependable, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create welcoming experiences for guests.
- Share flavor stories, offer samples, and help guests choose products.
- Scoop ice cream, make waffle cones, operate the register, and support daily shop operations.
- Greet guests, answer questions, and help guide the flow of the shop.
- Process transactions accurately and assist with online and delivery orders.
- Prepare products according to recipes and quality standards.
- Restock ice cream, supplies, and retail products throughout shifts.
- Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and organization standards.
- Wash dishes, clean, and perform other operational tasks.
- Collaborate with teammates to create a positive and supportive environment.
