About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal team members for Customer Service, Sales, Fulfillment, and Stock departments. Team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy store environment, collaborating to provide a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, deliver a quick and easy customer experience, and keep the store clean and clutter-free. Employees may work in different areas of the store as needed. Applicants can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Sales and Customer Service team members keep the salesfloor ready through re-merchandising and straightening, assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, operate point-of-sale systems, bag merchandise, support fitting rooms, return clothing to the salesfloor, organize stockrooms, and follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards. Stock Support and Fulfillment team members receive and process freight, deliver merchandise to selling departments, fulfill and ship customer orders, use inventory management systems, maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms, and provide general store support. The role requires continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, frequent use of hands, and handling merchandise that may be bulky or awkwardly shaped. The stated pay range is $16.60–$17.30 per hour; actual offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Nordstrom offers benefits for eligible employees, subject to applicable requirements.

Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the salesfloor ready through re-merchandising and straightening merchandise throughout the day.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions; operate point-of-sale systems, bag items, and provide a friendly experience.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor.
Keep customer areas clean and clutter-free by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived items to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
Work in different areas of the store as needed to help customers and maintain clean salesfloors and stockrooms.
