About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring a seasonal Retail Sales team member for the Bridgepointe Shopping Center location. Team members work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and a quick, easy customer experience. The role is flexible and may involve working in different areas of the store to help customers, keep the salesfloor and stockrooms clean and organized, and support sales, stock support, and fulfillment activities. Sales and customer service duties include keeping the salesfloor ready through re-merchandising and straightening; assisting with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms; supporting fitting rooms; returning clothing to the salesfloor; organizing stockrooms; checking in and ticketing merchandise; using store technologies; following operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards; and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock support and fulfillment duties include receiving and processing freight, delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems, maintaining organized selling floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as setting up events, completing markdowns, organizing the backroom, and relocating fixtures.

Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock Support and Fulfillment duties: ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the salesfloor runway ready through re-merchandising, sizing, filling in, and straightening merchandise throughout the day.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions using point-of-sale systems; bag items and handle bulky merchandise while providing friendly service.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Sort and return clothing to the salesfloor to maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived items to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
