About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal team members for its Sales department. Team members work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, support a quick and easy customer experience, and keep the store clean and clutter-free. Employees may work in different areas of the store as needed, including sales, customer service, stock support, and fulfillment. Sales and customer service duties include keeping the sales floor stocked, sized, and ready through re-merchandising and straightening; assisting with in-store, online, and mobile transactions; operating point-of-sale systems; supporting fitting rooms; returning clothing to the sales floor; organizing stockrooms; checking in and ticketing merchandise; using store technologies; following operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards; and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock support and fulfillment duties include receiving and processing freight, delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems to scan and research shipments, maintaining clean and organized sales floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as event setup, backroom organization, markdowns, and moving store fixtures. The work involves continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching, and use of hands. Employees handle bulky or awkward items, regularly lift up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Stock and fulfillment employees frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The listed pay range is $16.60–$17.30 per hour; offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor stocked, sized, and ready through re-merchandising and straightening.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, operate point-of-sale systems, bag purchases, and provide a friendly experience.
Greet and assist customers in fitting rooms, and sort and return clothing to the sales floor.
Maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner while following quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, processing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
