About The Position

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you will work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, moving continuously and collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. You will help provide a quick and easy customer experience while keeping the store clean and clutter-free. The role may involve working in different areas of the store to maintain clean sales floors and stockrooms and help customers find merchandise. This is a seasonal position at the Potomac Mills Rack. Pay is $18.65–$19.40 per hour; offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Requirements

Ability to remain in continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor runway-ready, sized, and filled through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions; operate point-of-sale systems, bag items, handle bulky or heavy items, and provide a friendly experience.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Keep the customer experience clean and clutter-free by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
