About The Position

Nordstrom Rack team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. They help provide a quick and easy customer experience while keeping the store clean and clutter-free. Team members may work in different areas of the store to maintain cleanliness on the sales floor and in stockrooms and to help customers find merchandise. Roles are available in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment; candidates can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Sales and Customer Service work includes keeping the sales floor ready through re-merchandising and straightening, assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, supporting fitting rooms, returning merchandise to the sales floor, organizing stockrooms, checking in and ticketing merchandise, using store technologies, following operational and asset-protection standards, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment work includes receiving and processing freight, delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems, maintaining organized floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as event setup, markdowns, backroom organization, and relocating fixtures. The position requires continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift and frequent physical activity, including bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and handling merchandise. Regular lifting is up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting is up to 25 pounds; Stock and Fulfillment roles involve frequent lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. The listed pay range is $17.45–$18.15 per hour, with offers dependent on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.

For Stock and Fulfillment roles, ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor sized, filled, and ready through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, including operating a point-of-sale system, bagging items, and handling bulky or heavy merchandise.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Sort and return clothing to the sales floor to maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner and to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments according to inventory-control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
