About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring team members for Sales and Stock departments. Team members work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, support a quick and easy customer experience, and help keep the store clean and clutter-free. Employees may occasionally work in different areas of the store to maintain cleanliness, support stockrooms, and help customers find merchandise. Sales and customer service work includes keeping the sales floor stocked and presentable, assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, supporting fitting rooms, returning merchandise to the sales floor, organizing stockrooms, and meeting operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards. Team members also promote initiatives such as Nordstrom Rewards and use store technologies. Stock support and fulfillment work includes receiving and processing freight, delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders, using inventory management systems, maintaining organized sales floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as event setup, markdowns, backroom organization, and moving store fixtures. The role requires continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift and regular merchandise handling, including lifting. The hourly pay range is $21.00–$21.85, with offers dependent on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor stocked, sized, and presentable through re-merchandising and straightening.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, including operating a point-of-sale system and bagging merchandise.
Support fitting room customers and sort and return clothing to the sales floor.
Maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Use store technologies and follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive, unload, unpack, and deliver freight and newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
