About The Position

Nordstrom Rack team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and provide customers with a quick, easy experience. Team members keep the store clean and clutter-free and may work in different areas of the store as needed. Openings are available in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment; candidates can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Sales and Customer Service team members maintain a well-presented salesfloor, assist customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, support fitting rooms, return clothing to the salesfloor, organize stockrooms, check in and ticket merchandise, use store technologies, follow operational and asset-protection standards, and promote Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment team members receive and process freight and merchandise, fulfill and ship customer orders to quality standards, use inventory management systems, maintain selling floors and stockrooms, and provide general store support such as preparing special events, organizing backrooms, completing markdowns, and relocating fixtures. The position requires physical activity throughout shifts, including frequent movement and handling merchandise.

Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles: frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Maintain a well-presented, sized, and stocked salesfloor through re-merchandising and straightening.
Assist customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, including operating point-of-sale systems and bagging items.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Keep the customer experience clean and clutter-free by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in store technologies and adhere to operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly while following quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory-control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
