About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring a seasonal team member to support Sales, Customer Service, Stock, or Fulfillment at the Downtown Seattle Rack. The role involves working in a fast-paced, high-energy store environment, collaborating with teammates, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, helping customers, and keeping the store clean and clutter-free. Team members may work in different areas of the store as needed. Sales and Customer Service duties include keeping the sales floor organized and stocked through re-merchandising and straightening; assisting customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions; operating a point-of-sale system; bagging purchases and handling bulky items; supporting fitting rooms; returning clothing to the sales floor; organizing stockrooms; using store technologies; following operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards; and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment duties include receiving and unloading freight, unpacking and delivering merchandise, fulfilling and shipping customer orders, using inventory management systems to scan and process merchandise, maintaining clean and organized sales floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as setting up events, organizing the backroom, processing markdowns, and relocating fixtures. The position requires continuous movement and lifting as described in the physical requirements. The listed pay range is $22.55–$23.45 per hour. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Benefits and eligibility may vary based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.

Ability to move continuously for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor organized, sized, stocked, and ready through re-merchandising and straightening.
Assist customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, including operating a point-of-sale system and bagging purchases.
Handle bulky and sometimes heavy items while providing a seamless, friendly customer experience.
Greet and assist customers in fitting rooms, and sort and return clothing to the sales floor.
Keep the customer areas clean and clutter-free by sorting and returning clothing.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and ticketed accurately.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, processing markdowns, and relocating fixtures.
