About The Position

The Store Support employee provides customer service at checkout and over the phone, handling sales, returns, and other transactions. The role helps keep the customer experience quick, easy, and enjoyable while maintaining the cash wrap and sales floor, sharing fashion and product knowledge, and informing customers about events, gift cards, and Nordstrom Rewards. The employee may also support order fulfillment and order pick-up in other areas of the store. This is a seasonal role in Downtown Seattle.

Ability to meet the stated physical requirements: remain in continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift; frequently bend, twist, squat, flex, and reach; frequently grasp and finely manipulate items, push and pull; handle bulky or awkward items, including reaching and lifting them above the head; regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assist customers over the phone and at checkout with sales, returns, and other transactions while providing excellent customer service.
Listen to customer needs and share fashion knowledge to make service quick, easy, and enjoyable.
Help keep the department ready for customers by straightening, lightly cleaning, and restocking the cash wrap and sales floor.
Stay informed about fashion trends and products to assist customers with purchase decisions.
Tell customers about upcoming events, Nordstrom gift cards, and the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Flexibly support other store areas, including order fulfillment and order pick-up.
