About The Position

The Retail Cashier & Sales Floor Support employee provides customer service at checkout and over the phone, assists with sales, returns, and other transactions, and helps maintain the cash wrap and sales floor. The role also supports order fulfillment and order pickup, helps customers make purchase decisions using knowledge of fashion trends and products, and builds customer relationships by sharing information about events, Nordstrom gift cards, and the Nordstrom Rewards program. The position requires a flexible schedule based on business needs and includes continuous movement and handling merchandise during shifts.

• Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers over the phone and at checkout with sales, returns, and other transactions while providing excellent customer service.
• Listen to customer needs and provide quick, easy, and enjoyable service.
• Keep the department runway ready by straightening, lightly cleaning, and restocking the cash wrap and sales floor.
• Stay informed about key fashion trends and products to help customers with purchase decisions.
• Tell customers about upcoming events, Nordstrom gift cards, and the Nordstrom Rewards program.
• Provide flexible support in other store areas, including order fulfillment and order pickup.
