About The Position

The Seasonal Retail Cashier & Sales Floor Support employee works in Men's Apparel at International Plaza, providing customer service at the point of sale and supporting the sales floor. The role involves assisting customers with sales, returns, and other transactions; sharing fashion and product knowledge; and helping maintain an organized, stocked, and clean cash wrap and sales floor. Employees may also support other store areas, including order fulfillment and order pick-up. The position requires continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching, and handling merchandise. Employees use their hands frequently and handle bulky or awkwardly shaped items, including reaching overhead. Items weighing up to 10 pounds are lifted regularly and items up to 25 pounds occasionally. The listed pay range is $16.20–$16.85 per hour, with offers depending on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.

Responsibilities

Assist customers over the phone and at checkout with sales, returns, and other transactions while providing excellent customer service.
Keep service quick, easy, and enjoyable by listening to customer needs and sharing fashion knowledge.
Help keep the department runway ready by straightening, lightly cleaning, and restocking the cash wrap area and sales floor.
Stay informed about fashion trends and products to help customers with purchase decisions.
Tell customers about upcoming events, Nordstrom gift cards, and the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Support other store areas as needed, including order fulfillment and order pick-up.
