About The Position

The Retail Cashier & Sales Floor Support employee provides customer service at checkout and over the phone, assisting with sales, returns, and other transactions. The role helps keep service quick, easy, and enjoyable by listening to customers, sharing fashion knowledge, and supporting purchase decisions. Employees help maintain a sales floor and cash wrap that are ready for customers through straightening, light cleaning, and restocking. The position may also support order fulfillment and order pick-up, and involves a flexible schedule based on business needs.

Responsibilities

Assist customers over the phone and at checkout with sales, returns, and other transactions while providing customer service.
Listen to customer needs and share fashion knowledge to make service quick, easy, and enjoyable.
Help keep the department runway ready by straightening, lightly cleaning, and restocking the cash wrap and sales floor.
Stay informed about key fashion trends and products to help customers make purchase decisions.
Tell customers about upcoming events, Nordstrom gift cards, and the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Support other areas of the store, including order fulfillment and order pick-up.
