About The Position

The Seasonal Commission Sales role in Women's Apparel at South Coast Plaza is suited to a salesperson passionate about fashion and styling who can cultivate and grow a customer following both digitally and in-store. The role involves achieving sales goals, building customer relationships, offering knowledgeable style and fit guidance, and maintaining a customer-ready department. Hours and schedules vary by week based on business needs. The employee may occasionally need to perform duties in a department other than the one hired into.

• Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head.
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve in-store and digital sales goals using selling tools, including text and social media.
• Build lasting relationships with customers and grow a customer following digitally and in-store.
• Provide customer service on customers' terms and give honest, confident feedback about style and fit.
• Develop fashion and product knowledge.
• Keep the department customer-ready by filling orders, stocking, re-merchandising, processing price markdowns, and performing light cleaning.
• Grow customer relationships by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
• Be flexible to occasionally perform work or duties in another department.
