About The Position

Tri-CAP is seeking a professional, customer-focused Seasonal Energy Assistance Intake Worker to join their Community Development team. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on people's lives within a supportive and engaging work environment. The position is temporary and seasonal, running from August 2026 to May 2027.

Requirements

• High school equivalency
• One (1) year of human services related experience
• Knowledge of community resources serving low-income populations
• Ability to work with diverse populations
• Ability to work well independently and stay on task
• Strong Communication skills
• Strong Office Skills and Computer Proficiency
• Strong attention to detail; ability to prioritize and adapt with changing needs

Responsibilities

• Handle high call volume, providing polite, clear, and friendly customer service over the phone.
• Answer questions, give status updates, obtain information for application processing, and provide referrals to community resources.
• Utilize Microsoft Office, email, and basic computer skills for data entry and scanning.
• Process applications, including crisis applications, and maintain household information files.
• Work in a fast-paced setting, assisting clients from diverse backgrounds and helping them complete applications.
• Assist the Energy Assistance team with the emergency after-hours phone for crisis deliveries and Emergency Repair or Replacement events.
