Requirements

  • Two years of experience in general office work which included interviewing the public; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Submission of criminal history reports (conditional offer of employment).
  • Pass a background investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Ask questions to gather information needed to determine eligibility
  • Help applicants complete forms and answer questions about program requirements
  • Check drop-off, mail-in, and online applications for accuracy and completeness
  • Validate client information and determine eligibility for crisis benefits within required timeframes
  • Review income records using the 30-day or 12-month method to ensure equitable benefit decisions
  • Enter data into the Electronic Client Information System (eCIS) and manage scanning, imaging, and attachment of case information
  • Work with vendors and clients to support fuel delivery needs
  • Refer clients to other agencies for additional assistance when needed
