Requirements

  • Two years of experience in general office work which included interviewing the public; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports.
  • Must pass a background investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Complete cash and emergency applications by reviewing mail-in forms, conducting interviews, and gathering verification
  • Use LIHEAP and other programs to collect information and validate details
  • Reject ineligible applications, analyze documentation, and determine correct benefit levels
  • Record verification, update addresses, and prepare notifications and referrals
  • Contact vendors, confirm heating sources, and manage collateral contracts
  • Prepare reports, participate in supervisory conferences, assist other programs, and respond to case audits and reviews
