About The Position

The Fresh Market is hiring seasonal team members to support its stores during key business periods. Team members may work in Grocery, Guest Service (Front End), Early Morning Production, Produce, or provide counter support in Deli, Bakery, or Meat & Seafood. This temporary role focuses on delivering exceptional, personal guest service and supporting store operations. Employment may conclude at the end of the seasonal business period. The position requires a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

Requirements

• Passion for providing extraordinary service.
• At least 16 years of age, or at least 18 years of age for work in Deli, Bakery, or Produce.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements, grasp, bend, and reach; lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds independently; and work around extreme temperatures.
• Ability to spend long periods on one's feet and stand or walk without a break for up to four hours or as required by law.
• Wear an approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard, as well as personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the retail, restaurant, or hospitality industries.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest service by learning guests’ wants and needs and helping them create meal solutions.
• Maintain knowledge of store products and weekly ad items and work across departments to assist guests.
• Safely handle food products for guest sampling.
• Merchandise and stock products and specialty items throughout the day while assisting nearby guests.
• Weigh and scan products, handle cash, and provide appropriate change.
• Gather shopping carts from the parking lot and assist with general housekeeping throughout the store.
• Slice and prepare a variety of department meats, cheeses, and convenient meal solutions while maintaining quality product levels.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards.
