About The Position

The Fresh Market is seeking seasonal team members to support its stores during key business periods. Team members may work in Grocery, Guest Service (Front End), Early Morning Production, or Produce, and may provide counter support in Deli, Bakery, or Meat & Seafood. This is a temporary seasonal role, not a regular permanent position; employment may conclude at the end of the seasonal business period.

The role focuses on providing exceptional, personal guest service and helping create a warm, welcoming shopping experience. Team members assist guests with meal solutions, maintain product knowledge, stock and merchandise products, and perform department and general store tasks. The position requires a flexible schedule that may include weekends, days, evenings, and holidays. Physical work includes standing or walking for extended periods, handling products and equipment, and working around extreme temperatures.

Requirements

• Passion for providing extraordinary service.
• Be at least 16 years of age; employees working in Deli, Bakery, or Produce must be at least 18 years of age.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements, grasp, bend, reach, and lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds independently.
• Ability to spend extended periods on one's feet and stand or walk without a break for up to four hours or as required by law.
• Wear an approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality industries.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest service by engaging with guests to understand their wants and needs and help them create meal solutions.
• Maintain knowledge of products and weekly ad items throughout the store and work across departments to assist guests.
• Safely handle food products for guest sampling.
• Merchandise and stock products and specialty items throughout the day while assisting nearby guests.
• Weigh and scan products, handle cash, and provide change when appropriate.
• Gather shopping carts from the parking lot and assist with general housekeeping throughout the store.
• Slice and prepare a variety of department meats, cheeses, and convenient meal solutions while maintaining quality product levels.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards.
