About The Position

The Fresh Market is hiring seasonal team members to support stores during key business periods. This role may involve work in Grocery, Guest Service (Front End), Early Morning Production, or Produce, as well as counter support in Deli, Bakery, or Meat & Seafood. Team members provide exceptional, personal guest service and help create a warm, welcoming shopping experience. The position is temporary, and employment may conclude at the end of the seasonal business period.

Requirements

• Passion for providing extraordinary service.
• At least 16 years of age, or at least 18 years of age for work in Deli, Bakery, or Produce.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements; grasp, bend, and reach; lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds; and work around extreme temperatures.
• Ability to spend long periods on one's feet and stand or walk without a break for up to four hours or as required by law.
• Ability to wear an approved hat, hair net and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the retail, restaurant, or hospitality industries.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests to understand their wants and needs and help them create meal solutions.
• Maintain knowledge of store products and weekly ad items, and work across departments to assist guests.
• Safely handle food products for guest sampling.
• Merchandise and stock products and specialty items throughout the day while assisting nearby guests.
• Weigh and scan products, handle cash, and provide change where appropriate.
• Gather shopping carts from the parking lot and assist with general housekeeping duties throughout the store.
• Slice and prepare department meats, cheeses, and convenient meal solutions while maintaining quality product levels.
• Present oneself professionally and adhere to uniform standards.
