About The Position
Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal team members for Sales, Cashier, Stock, and/or Fulfillment roles. Team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy store environment to make customers’ shopping experiences quick, easy, and enjoyable while helping them find deals. Applicants can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Depending on the role, duties include assisting customers and handling transactions, maintaining fitting rooms and sales floors, supporting Nordstrom Rewards, keeping stockrooms organized, processing inventory, receiving and delivering merchandise, fulfilling and shipping customer orders, and providing general store support. The position requires effective communication, accountability, initiative, organization, attention to detail, and flexibility to meet business needs. Stock Support and Fulfillment roles require frequent lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. The listed pay range is $15.75–$16.35 per hour; pay offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Requirements

- For Stock Support or Fulfillment roles, ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- For Sales and Cashier roles, greet customers, guide them to fitting rooms, and sort and return clothing to the sales floor.
- Encourage adoption of initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
- Keep stockrooms organized and complete inventory processes, including checking in and accurately ticketing merchandise.
- Maintain a runway-ready sales floor through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
- Assist customers with a variety of transactions in a seamless and friendly manner.
- Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
- Resolve customer situations in a timely and effective manner.
- For Stock Support and Fulfillment roles, receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
- Fulfill customer orders promptly and in accordance with quality standards.
- Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
- Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
- Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
- Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
