About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring a seasonal team member for its Tysons Corner location, with opportunities in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment. Team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborate to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, provide customers with a quick and easy experience, and help keep the store clean and clutter-free. Employees may occasionally work in different store areas to maintain sales floors and stockrooms and assist customers.

Requirements

• Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting them above the head.
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
• For Stock and Fulfillment roles: frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Keep the sales floor ready by re-merchandising, straightening, sizing, and replenishing merchandise throughout the day.
• Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions using point-of-sale systems; bag items and handle bulky or heavy merchandise while providing friendly service.
• Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
• Maintain clean, clutter-free sales floors by sorting and returning clothing.
• Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
• Demonstrate expertise in store technologies.
• Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
• Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
• Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
• Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
• Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
• Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
• Help maintain clean and organized sales floors and stockrooms.
• Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
