About The Position

The Seasonal Customer Service Representative provides friendly, efficient customer transactions and offers company-approved services and products to create a positive customer experience. The role facilitates vehicle rentals and returns by verifying and documenting driver information. The position is based at an office in the greater Springfield, Massachusetts area and pays $19.00 per hour. The seasonal employment window begins in mid-May 2027 and ends on or before October 31, 2027, with employment limited to 180 days. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. Multiple schedules are available, including weekends and holidays; schedules will be discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED required.
Must currently have a valid U.S. driver's license, with no more than two moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past three years.
Must have no drug- or alcohol-related conviction, including DWI/DUI, on record in the past five years.
At least six months of prior customer service experience required.
Basic experience and understanding of a PC and Microsoft Office products required.
Must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require current or future work authorization sponsorship from the company.

Responsibilities

Meet and greet customers professionally, cordially, and promptly.
Provide efficient customer service by explaining rental terms and conditions, vehicle features, and services, including optional protection products, upgrades, fuel options, and additional equipment.
Assist customers with directions, maps, local area information, and appropriate service information.
Answer incoming calls about reservations, rate quotes, and general questions, and provide information and resolution for customers, other branches, and vendors.
Make outgoing calls for callback management and other assigned purposes.
Help assess the condition of rental vehicles upon return.
Notify management of known customer problems.
Notify management of known vehicle problems and required vehicle maintenance.
Continuously build knowledge and skills and pursue on-the-job training, development opportunities, and company-sponsored classroom training.
