About The Position

Nordstrom is hiring a seasonal commission sales employee for Women's Apparel at Towson Town Center. The employee uses Nordstrom's 5-Point Selling Standard—Say Hello, Small Talk, Be Helpful & Sell, Fashion Authority, and Follow-up—and builds a personal customer base through in-store interactions, outreach, and digital tools. Schedule hours vary according to business needs and may include evenings, weekends, holidays, events, and occasional support in other departments. The position requires extended movement and handling merchandise. Pay is listed as $16.25 per hour, and apparel sales may also earn commission, typically ranging from 3% to 14.5%. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.

Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head.
Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Deliver Nordstrom's 5-Point Selling Standard in every customer interaction.
Build and grow a personal customer base through in-store interactions, outreach, and digital tools.
Provide honest, confident style and fit feedback to build customer trust and loyalty.
Set and achieve personal sales goals and remain accountable for results.
Keep the department customer-ready through stocking, re-merchandising, price markdowns, merchandise recovery, and participation in bi-annual inventory counts.
Stay current on product knowledge and trends and serve as a trusted style resource.
Communicate openly, contribute to a positive team environment, and help keep the department productive.
Follow up with customers using the 2-2-2 Method, Nordy Club enrollment, and Personal Book.
Work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event shifts; occasionally support other departments.
