About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Seasonal Associate, you provide an engaging shoe-store experience by creating a welcoming environment, connecting with customers, sharing knowledge of trends, and helping customers find styles and brands that suit their needs. You contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture and celebrate individual and team successes.

You help keep store operations running smoothly by handling tasks such as pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory. You maintain a clean, organized, and easily shoppable store, follow company policies and procedures, and support sales goals through attentive customer service, accountability, communication, and active listening. You may assist teammates with training and development when needed and seek feedback to improve your skills.

Other responsibilities may be performed as needed to meet business needs. Overtime may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion while partnering with the Store Sales Manager and/or Assistant Managers as needed.
• Working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily store tasks, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and merchandise easy to shop.
• Provide attentive customer engagement and help customers find suitable shoe styles, brands, and fit.
• Share knowledge of trends and product recommendations with customers.
• Review store performance and help drive sales to achieve goals.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team and listen actively to ensure understanding.
• Follow company policies and procedures and act with integrity.
• Contribute to an inclusive and respectful work environment and support teammates.
• Assist with training and development when needed.
• Seek and respond to feedback to improve skills and professional development.
