About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Seasonal Associate, you provide an engaging shoe-store experience by creating a welcoming environment, helping customers find styles that suit their needs, and supporting the store team. You share knowledge of trends and brands, contribute to customer loyalty, and help customers find the right fit. You support daily store operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory, while keeping the store clean, organized, and easy to shop. You contribute to sales goals, communicate effectively with teammates, follow company policies, seek feedback, and help foster an inclusive and positive team environment. Other responsibilities may be performed as needed to meet business needs; overtime may be required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion while partnering with the Store Sales Manager and/or Assistant Managers as needed.
Working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
Ability to work effectively within a team.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Complete daily store tasks, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.
Keep the store clean, organized, and merchandise easy to shop in accordance with company standards.
Engage customers and provide attentive, high-quality service by helping them find suitable styles, brands, and fits.
Stay informed about trends and share relevant knowledge with customers.
Review store performance and contribute to sales goals with purpose and urgency.
Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team and use active listening to support shared understanding.
Follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and work on professional development.
Promote an inclusive and respectful work environment and maintain a positive, supportive attitude.
Assist with teammate training and development when needed.
Perform other responsibilities as needed to meet business needs.
