About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Seasonal Associate, you help create a welcoming store environment and deliver a strong customer experience. You stay informed about trends, help customers find suitable shoes, and contribute to a positive in-store culture. The role also supports daily retail operations, sales goals, store organization, and collaboration among associates.

Seasonal Associates uphold company policies and procedures, welcome feedback, and support teammates, including assisting with training and development when needed. Other responsibilities may be assigned to meet business needs, and overtime may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion while partnering with the Store Sales Manager and/or Assistant Managers as needed.
• Working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Process pricing, shipments, fulfillment, and inventory tasks to support daily store operations.
• Help keep the store clean, organized, and easy to shop in accordance with company standards.
• Provide attentive customer engagement and help customers find styles, brands, and fits that meet their needs.
• Stay informed about trends and share relevant knowledge with customers.
• Review store performance and contribute to sales goals with accountability and urgency.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team, and listen actively to ensure understanding.
• Follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and work on professional development.
• Promote an inclusive and respectful work environment and maintain a positive, supportive attitude.
• Assist teammates with training and development when needed.
• Work overtime when required to meet business needs.
