About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Seasonal Associate, you provide a welcoming store environment and a strong customer experience, helping customers find styles and brands that suit their needs. You contribute to a positive team culture, stay informed about trends, and share product knowledge with customers. You support daily retail operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory, while maintaining a clean, organized, and easy-to-shop store. You engage customers, help drive sales and achieve store goals, communicate with teammates, follow company policies, and seek feedback to support your development. You also help foster an inclusive environment and assist teammates with training and development when needed. Other responsibilities may be performed as needed to meet business needs. Overtime may be required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion while partnering with the Store Sales Manager and/or Assistant Managers as needed.
Working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
Ability to work effectively within a team.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Complete daily store tasks, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.
Maintain a clean, organized store where products are easy to shop.
Engage customers and provide attentive service, product recommendations, and assistance finding suitable styles and fit.
Stay informed about trends and share product knowledge with customers.
Review store performance and work toward sales and other goals.
Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team and listen actively to teammates.
Follow company policies and procedures and seek feedback to improve skills and professional development.
Promote an inclusive, respectful work environment and maintain a positive, supportive attitude.
Assist teammates with training and development when needed.
Work overtime as required to meet business needs.
