About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Seasonal Associate, you create a welcoming store environment and provide engaging customer experiences that encourage customer loyalty to the store, brands, and company. You stay informed about trends, share that knowledge with customers, and help shoppers find styles that suit their needs and fit well.

You support daily retail operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory, while helping keep the store clean, organized, and easy to shop. You contribute to store sales and goals, communicate clearly with teammates, follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and support an inclusive and positive team environment. You may assist with teammate training and development when needed.

This seasonal role may require overtime to meet business needs. The schedule may include holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours. The position involves frequent movement and lifting, and requires mobility on the sales floor for extended periods.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion while partnering with the Store Sales Manager and/or Assistant Managers as needed.
• Working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive customer engagement and recommend shoe styles that suit customers’ needs and fit.
• Stay informed about trends and share product and style knowledge with customers.
• Complete daily store tasks, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and merchandise easy to shop.
• Support store sales goals by reviewing performance and taking accountability for individual effort.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team and listen actively to ensure understanding.
• Follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and work toward professional development.
• Contribute to an inclusive, respectful, positive team environment and support teammates.
• Assist with training and development of teammates when needed.
