About The Position

The Seasonal Associate at Famous Footwear provides customers with a welcoming, engaging shoe-store experience while supporting daily store operations. The role includes helping customers find suitable styles and fit, sharing product and trend knowledge, and contributing to customer loyalty and store sales. Associates work collaboratively, uphold the company’s culture and policies, and help keep the store clean, organized, and easy to shop.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
• Working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily store tasks, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and merchandise easy to shop in accordance with company standards.
• Provide attentive, engaging customer service and help customers find styles and brands that meet their needs.
• Stay informed about trends and share product knowledge and recommendations with customers.
• Review store performance and contribute to sales goals.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team and listen actively to support shared understanding.
• Follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and work on professional development.
• Promote an inclusive and respectful work environment and maintain a positive, proactive attitude.
• Support teammates and assist with training and development when needed.
• Work with the Store Sales Manager and/or Assistant Managers as needed.
