About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Seasonal Associate, you provide a welcoming store environment and an engaging customer experience that builds customer loyalty to the store, brands, and company. You stay informed about trends, share your knowledge with customers, and help shoppers find shoes that suit their needs and fit well.

You support daily retail operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory, while keeping the store clean, organized, and easy to shop. You contribute to sales goals, communicate clearly with the store team, follow company policies and procedures, and seek feedback to develop your skills. You also help foster an inclusive, positive work environment and assist teammates with training and development when needed.

This is a seasonal position. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed to meet business needs, and overtime may be required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager and/or Assistant Managers as needed.
• Working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily store tasks such as pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and merchandise easy to shop according to company standards.
• Provide attentive customer engagement and help customers find styles and brands that meet their needs.
• Stay informed about trends and share relevant knowledge and shoe recommendations with customers.
• Review store performance and contribute to sales goals with purpose and urgency.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team, and listen actively to ensure understanding.
• Follow company policies and procedures and seek feedback to improve skills and professional development.
• Support an inclusive and respectful work environment and maintain a positive, proactive attitude.
• Assist with teammate training and development when needed.
• Work overtime when required to meet business needs.
