About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Seasonal Associate, you help create a welcoming store environment and provide engaging customer experiences that build loyalty to the store, its brands, and the company. You stay informed about trends, share your knowledge with customers, and help each customer find shoes that meet their needs and fit well.

You support daily store operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory, while keeping the store clean, organized, and easy to shop. You contribute to the store’s sales performance by reviewing results, working toward goals, communicating clearly with teammates, and taking accountability for your efforts. You follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and support teammates through training and development when needed. You also help foster an inclusive, respectful, positive team environment.

This is a seasonal position. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed to meet business needs, and overtime may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager and/or Assistant Managers as needed.
• Working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

• Follow company policies and procedures and seek feedback to improve skills.
• Support teammates and assist with training and development when needed.
