About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Seasonal Associate, you help create a welcoming store environment and provide engaging customer experiences that build loyalty to the store, its brands, and the company. You stay informed about trends, share product knowledge, and help customers find shoes that meet their needs and fit comfortably.

You support daily store operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory, while helping keep the store clean, organized, and easy to shop. You contribute to sales goals, communicate clearly with teammates, follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and support a positive, inclusive team culture. You may assist with training and development as needed. Other responsibilities may be assigned to meet business needs, and overtime may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion while partnering with the Store Sales Manager and/or Assistant Managers as needed.
• Working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily store tasks, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and easily shoppable store.
• Provide attentive customer engagement and recommend styles and brands to meet customers’ needs.
• Stay informed about trends and share product knowledge with customers.
• Review store performance and contribute to sales goals.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team and listen actively to teammates.
• Follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and pursue professional development.
• Help foster an inclusive, respectful, and positive work environment.
• Assist teammates with training and development when needed.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed to meet business needs.
