About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Seasonal Associate, you help create a welcoming store environment and provide a strong shoe-shopping experience for every customer. You build customer loyalty by staying informed about trends, sharing product knowledge, recommending styles, and helping customers find the right fit. You work collaboratively with the store team and contribute to individual and team success.

You help keep daily store operations running smoothly, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory. You maintain a clean, organized store where products are easy to shop, follow company policies and procedures, and contribute to sales goals. You communicate clearly with teammates, welcome feedback, and support an inclusive and respectful workplace. You may also assist with training and development as needed.

This seasonal role may require overtime to meet business needs. The work involves extended periods of mobility on the sales floor and regular physical activity, including lifting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager and/or Assistant Managers as needed.
• Working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team and listen actively to ensure understanding.
• Follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and work on professional development.
• Help foster an inclusive, respectful, and positive work environment and support teammates.
• Assist with training and development when needed.
