About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Seasonal Associate, you provide customers with a welcoming shoe-store experience and help create an in-store culture that encourages customer loyalty to the store, its brands, and the company. You stay informed about trends, share knowledge with customers, and work with the team to create engaging experiences and help customers find suitable styles and fit.

You support daily store operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory, while helping keep the store clean, organized, and easy to shop. You contribute to sales goals, communicate clearly with teammates, follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and support an inclusive and positive work environment. You may assist with training and development when needed. Other responsibilities may be performed as needed to meet business needs, and overtime may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion while partnering with the Store Sales Manager and/or Assistant Managers as needed.
• Working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily store tasks such as pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.

• Assist with training and development when needed.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed to meet business needs; overtime may be required.
