About The Position

Ascend Staffing is hiring Seafood Processors for a seafood processing facility in Westport, Washington. The facility is currently processing shrimp and expects to transition back to fish processing in December. The position offers on-the-job training and support, weekly pay, overtime opportunities during peak season, and seasonal and year-round opportunities. Orientation must be completed before starting work.

The schedule is day shift, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Weekends may be required based on production needs, and overtime may be available. Pay is $17.75 per hour, with the opportunity to earn additional piece-rate pay based on production.

Nice To Haves

• Seafood processing experience, including fish or shrimp processing, is preferred.
• Food processing experience is preferred.
• Cannery or production experience is a plus.
• Food safety or sanitation experience is a plus.
• Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle and process seafood products, currently shrimp, and transition to fish processing as production changes in December.
• Carry baskets of seafood product weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Assist with seafood preparation and processing.
• Inspect seafood for shells, defects, quality concerns, and cleanliness.
• Grade and pack seafood according to company standards.
• Sort and prepare finished product.
• Perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Meet daily production goals and work efficiently in a fast-paced seafood processing environment.
• Perform additional production duties as assigned.
