About The Position

Shearer’s Foods is hiring a Processor to set up and operate industrial food-processing equipment. The role follows precise recipes and work procedures, monitors and adjusts processing variables, performs product-quality tests and collects data, and monitors fryer and oil temperatures to maintain product consistency. The Processor also cleans and sanitizes processing equipment and changes slicing heads every hour to ensure consistent slicing.

The posting lists day-shift hours of 6:45 a.m.–7 p.m. and night-shift hours of 6:45 p.m.–7 a.m., both on a 2,2,3 schedule. The listed rates are $22.33 per hour for day shift and $22.23 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential for night shift. A separate pay range is listed as $22.78–$23.78 per hour.

Requirements

• Ability to read, understand, and effectively communicate with team members in the immediate work area.
• Ability to perform simple math, conversions, and use formulas to compute run rates.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding and follow written or oral instructions.
• Ability to troubleshoot by working through problems to identify root causes and address issues.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and the skills needed to run production.

• Previous machine-operator experience or experience working with machinery.
• Previous food or beverage manufacturing experience.
