About The Position

Shearer’s Foods is hiring a Processor, identified in the posting as a Food Processing Operator. The role involves setting up and operating industrial food processing equipment, following recipes and work procedures, monitoring and adjusting processing variables, performing product quality tests and collecting data, and cleaning and sanitizing processing equipment. The Processor monitors fryer and oil temperatures to maintain product consistency and changes slicing heads every hour to ensure consistent slicing.

Requirements

• Must be able to read, understand, and effectively communicate with team members in the immediate area.
• Must be able to perform simple math and conversions and use formulas to compute run rates.
• Must be able to apply common-sense understanding and follow written or oral instructions.
• Must be able to troubleshoot problems, work backward to identify root causes, and address issues.
• Must have basic computer knowledge, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and the skills needed to run production.

Nice To Haves

• Previous machine operator experience or experience working with machinery is preferred.
• Previous food or beverage manufacturing experience is a plus.
