About The Position
Salt & Straw is hiring seasonal Ice Cream Scoopers to create memorable guest experiences and help daily shop operations run smoothly. Scoopers welcome guests, share flavor stories, offer samples, and help customers discover flavors while delivering thoughtful, friendly service. The role includes scooping ice cream, making waffle cones, operating the register, processing transactions, and assisting with online and delivery orders. Team members prepare products according to recipes and quality standards, restock products and supplies, maintain food safety and cleanliness, and support dishwashing and other operational tasks. The position is located at the Cocowalk shop in Miami, Florida. The role involves working around common food allergens, including peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, eggs, soy, wheat, and seafood.
Requirements
- Be at least 16 years old.
- Be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Be able to work at least three shifts per week, including two closing shifts.
- Enjoy working with people and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Have strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy staying busy.
- Work well as part of a team and support teammates.
- Be curious, dependable, and eager to learn.
- Be comfortable discussing flavors, offering samples, and engaging with guests.
- Be aware that common food allergens are present in the work environment.

Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create welcoming experiences for guests.
- Share flavor stories, offer samples, and help guests discover flavors.
- Scoop ice cream, make waffle cones, operate the register, and support daily shop operations.
- Greet guests, answer questions, and help guide the flow of the shop.
- Accurately process transactions and assist with online and delivery orders.
- Prepare products according to recipes and quality standards.
- Restock ice cream, supplies, and retail products throughout the shift.
- Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and organization standards across the shop.
- Support dishwashing, cleaning, and other operational tasks.
- Work collaboratively with teammates to create a positive and supportive environment.
