About The Position
Salt & Straw is hiring Scoopers to create memorable guest experiences and help the shop run smoothly. Scoopers guide guests through the flavors, share ingredient stories, offer samples, and build meaningful connections. The role involves scooping ice cream, making waffle cones, operating the register, processing transactions, assisting with online and delivery orders, preparing products to recipes and quality standards, restocking products and supplies, and maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and organization. Team members also support dishwashing and other operational tasks and work collaboratively with teammates. The role is part-time and located in Wynwood, Miami, Florida. Pay is $15.00 per hour, with average tips of $7.48. Candidates must be at least 16 years old, available for evenings, weekends, and holidays, and able to work at least three shifts per week, including two closing shifts. Food allergens including peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, eggs, soy, wheat, and seafood are present in the work environment.

Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create welcoming experiences for guests.
- Share flavor stories, offer samples, and help guests discover flavors.
- Scoop ice cream, make waffle cones, operate the register, and support daily shop operations.
- Greet guests, answer questions, and help guide the flow of the shop.
- Accurately process transactions and assist with online and delivery orders.
- Prepare products according to recipes and quality standards.
- Restock ice cream, supplies, and retail products throughout the shift.
- Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and organization standards across the shop.
- Support dishwashing, cleaning, and other operational tasks.
- Work collaboratively with teammates to create a positive and supportive environment.
