About The Position
Salt & Straw is hiring Scoopers to create memorable guest experiences and help the shop run smoothly. Scoopers welcome guests, guide them through the flavors, share ingredient stories, offer samples, and serve ice cream with kindness, curiosity, and hospitality. The role includes scooping ice cream, making waffle cones, operating the register, processing transactions, assisting with online and delivery orders, preparing products to recipes and quality standards, and restocking products and supplies. Team members also maintain food safety, cleanliness, and organization, assist with dishwashing and other operational tasks, and work collaboratively with teammates. This is a part-time position at the Americana location in Glendale, California. The role requires availability for at least three shifts per week, including two closing shifts, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. The work environment may contain common food allergens, including peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, eggs, soy, wheat, and seafood.
Requirements
- Be at least 16 years old.
- Be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Be able to work at least three shifts per week, including two closing shifts.

Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create welcoming experiences for guests.
- Share flavor stories, offer samples, and help guests discover flavors.
- Scoop ice cream, make waffle cones, operate the register, and support daily shop operations.
- Greet guests, answer questions, and help guide the flow of the shop.
- Accurately process transactions and assist with online and delivery orders.
- Prepare products according to recipes and quality standards.
- Restock ice cream, supplies, and retail products throughout the shift.
- Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and organization standards across the shop.
- Support dishwashing, cleaning, and other operational tasks.
- Work collaboratively with teammates to create a positive and supportive environment.
