About The Position

Salt & Straw is hiring Scoopers to create memorable guest experiences and help the shop run smoothly. Scoopers serve ice cream, guide guests through flavors, share ingredient stories, and build meaningful connections. The role is suited to people who enjoy working with others, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and value kindness, curiosity, and hospitality.

Candidates must be at least 16 years old and able to work at least three shifts per week, including two closing shifts, as well as evenings, weekends, and holidays. Food service, retail, coffee, restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required. The work takes place in an environment where common food allergens, including peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, eggs, soy, wheat, and seafood, are present.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and create welcoming experiences for guests.
• Share flavor stories, offer samples, and help guests discover flavors.
• Scoop ice cream, make waffle cones, operate the register, and support daily shop operations.
• Greet guests, answer questions, and help guide the flow of the shop.
• Accurately process transactions and assist with online and delivery orders.
• Prepare products according to recipes and quality standards.
• Restock ice cream, supplies, and retail products throughout the shift.
• Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and organization standards across the shop.
• Support dishwashing, cleaning, and other operational tasks.
• Work collaboratively with teammates to create a positive and supportive environment.
