About The Position

Salt & Straw is hiring Scoopers to create memorable guest experiences and help the shop run smoothly. Scoopers serve ice cream while guiding guests through flavors, sharing ingredient stories, offering samples, and building meaningful connections. The role suits people who enjoy working with others, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and value kindness, curiosity, and hospitality.

The position requires working at least three shifts per week, including two closing shifts, and being available for evenings, weekends, and holidays. The workplace contains common food allergens, including peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, eggs, soy, wheat, and seafood.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to work at least three shifts per week, including two closing shifts.

• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy staying busy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and create welcoming experiences for guests.
• Share flavor stories, offer samples, and help guests discover flavors.
• Scoop ice cream, make waffle cones, operate the register, and support daily shop operations.
• Greet guests, answer questions, and help guide the flow of the shop.
• Process transactions accurately and assist with online and delivery orders.
• Prepare products according to recipes and quality standards.
• Restock ice cream, supplies, and retail products throughout the shift.
• Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and organization standards.
• Support dishwashing, cleaning, and other operational tasks.
• Work collaboratively with teammates to create a positive and supportive environment.
