About The Position

Salt & Straw is hiring part-time Scoopers for its Bellevue shop. Scoopers create memorable guest experiences by serving ice cream, guiding guests through flavors, sharing ingredient stories, and building welcoming connections. The role also supports smooth daily shop operations in a fast-paced environment, with an emphasis on kindness, curiosity, hospitality, teamwork, food safety, and quality.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be available for at least 3 shifts per week, including 2 closing shifts.
• Enjoy working with people and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy staying busy.
• Work well as part of a team and support teammates.
• Be curious, dependable, and eager to learn.
• Be comfortable discussing flavors, offering samples, and engaging with guests.

• Food service, retail, coffee, restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and create welcoming experiences for guests.
• Share flavor stories, offer samples, and help guests discover flavors.
• Scoop ice cream, make waffle cones, operate the register, and support daily shop operations.
• Greet guests, answer questions, and help guide the flow of the shop.
• Accurately process transactions and assist with online and delivery orders.
• Prepare products according to recipes and quality standards.
• Restock ice cream, supplies, and retail products throughout shifts.
• Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and organization standards.
• Support dishwashing, cleaning, and other operational tasks.
• Work collaboratively with teammates to create a positive and supportive environment.
