About The Position

Interim Healthcare of Chester County is hiring a School Based Paraprofessional to support students in Chester County, Pennsylvania. The role assists students with autism, ADHD, developmental disorders, and other behavioral challenges, helping them navigate emotional and behavioral needs and build confidence, independence, and meaningful connections. Paraprofessionals may support students one-on-one or in a group setting and work with educators and mental health professionals to promote student success.

Requirements

• Experience working with students with special needs or behavioral challenges and following students’ IEPs.
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
• Commitment to helping students thrive to the best of their ability.
• Reliable transportation and commitment to consistent school-day shifts.
• Smartphone capable of using a time clock app.

Responsibilities

• Support students with autism, ADHD, developmental disorders, and other behavioral challenges, either one-on-one or in a group.
• Implement students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Assist students with social skills, emotional regulation, and coping skills.
• Redirect behaviors and reinforce positive behaviors and coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and school staff to develop strategies for student success.
• Document student progress, behaviors, and interventions in compliance with school policies.
