About The Position

Building Connections Academy is hiring an in-person School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional in Martinez, California. The role provides one-to-one behavioral and academic support to students with autism and other developmental differences, helping them develop communication, social, play, life, and self-help skills in a safe, supportive, and engaging school environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with minimum availability required Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Pay is $22–$28 per hour, based on experience, certification, and education. An RBT certification is required, or the employee must be willing to obtain it within 90 days; paid training is included. The paraprofessional receives support and supervision from Board Certified Behavior Analysts and works as part of a collaborative, mission-driven team.

Requirements

• Passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification, or willingness to obtain certification within 90 days.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
• Required immunizations: MMR, Tdap, Varicella, and Hep B.
• TB clearance completed within the past four years.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
